Verse 77 names five of the great mudras of the Kaula-Krama tradition — karankini, krodhana, bhairavi, lelihana and khecari. A mudra here is not a hand-gesture but a total bodily-energetic 'seal', a way the whole being is held; and the verse says that when one of these is assumed at the moment of the fixed, unblinking gaze (drishti-kala), the supreme attainment (paravapti) shines forth of itself. These are technical, embodied transmissions — each a precise inner posture with a name, learned only by being shown; the name in a text is not the mudra. This is initiatory. This Room gives the Text and Decode; the practice belongs with a living teacher of a Shaiva-Shakta lineage. Its safe cousin is Room 78 — gazing with a mind gone still, the unforced kernel of the gaze these mudras crown.
karaṅkiṇyā krodhanayā bhairavyā lelihānayā ।
khecaryā dṛṣṭikāle ca parāvāptiḥ prakāśate ॥
Through the mudras — karankini, krodhana, bhairavi, lelihana and khecari — at the moment of the fixed gaze, the supreme attainment shines forth.
To hold the whole body-mind in one of the great mudras — a total energetic posture — at the very moment the gaze goes still and unblinking, so that the seal and the fixed gaze together open the supreme attainment that is already one's own. The mudra is not done to the body; it is a shape consciousness takes.
These are NOT self-serve practices. The five named mudras are embodied, energetic seals of the Kaula-Krama tradition — each a precise inner posture transmitted by being shown, never captured by its name in a book; assumed crudely from a description, they are empty of the transmission that makes them work. If they call you, seek a living teacher of a Shaiva-Shakta lineage and receive them properly. Until then, their safe kernel is already yours in Room 78: the steady, unforced gaze with a mind gone quiet — the drishti these mudras crown.
What you can verify now is the ground the mudras stand on: sit and let your gaze rest, soft and steady, on a single point until blinking slows and the looking itself grows quiet (Room 78 guides it) — and notice how, in that unforced steadiness, the mind settles by itself, with no effort added. That quiet gaze is the seed; the named mudras that crown it are given, hand to hand, by a living teacher.
